Just in time for sunset on Monday evening, we arrived at Malibu Beach RV Park on Pacific Coast Highway. It offers superb views of the ocean, extremely clean shower and bathroom facilities, outdoor billiard and ping pong tables, and a camp store. Our green and purple ride was dwarfed by all of the RVs in the park that stretched up to 45 feet in length. A fellow camper told me a custom-made rigs on our row was built for $1.9 million. A window sticker in one of the high end RVs declared: “Roughing it Smoothly” – a sentiment that could just as well apply to our modest Jucyvan.
